Deep tissue massage is a therapeutic technique that works the innermost layers of the muscles and fascia (connective tissue), using slow, firm pressure to release chronic tension.
Hurts?
You may feel discomfort in some areas, especially if there is a lot of accumulated tension. However, it should be a "tolerable discomfort," not severe pain. Mild sensitivity may persist for 24–48 hours after the massage.
